I USUALLY DONT DO THIS BUT I FELT COMPELLED TO!!!!

I usually don’t put up anything to “gossipy” or foolish but I felt this was somewhat relevant. Allegedly Chris Brown was scheduled to perform at the BET awards and do a tribute to Michael Jackson along with other artists. It’s rumored that Jay-Z threatened to remove himself and other label mates if Brown was allowed to perform. Jay is blackballing Brown because of the recent incident with singer Rhianna, but let’s not forget how Jay was caught on tape smacking some women in the face twice some years back. Hypocrite!! That is all

Please fast forward to the 2:55 mark, the rest of video is nonsense.

this is a dumb post, JD. lol. I dunno when the video was from, but judging by the attire, like jerseys, its from the 90s.

Saying he can't tell BET Dont let this women puncher perform because he did that once is like saying a ex-felon Father can't tell his son not to rob people even though he robbed people when he was younger.

Just because jay-z did something retarded doesn't mean he cannot in his wiser, older years prevent that sort of thing from happening or getting exposure.

"did i tell em do drugs? no, hov did that, so hopefully u dont have to go thru that."

    Same shit.

hahaha, you would think he was wiser…but me and you both know HOv is doing this out of spite bc he used to get down with Rhianna. We both know a LOT of disgraceful things go own behind the scenes and in public and no one cares..brown was crucified(no defending him at all). But Hov shoudnt jump up and pretend he has the greatest intentions at heart when to me its hov showing brown who d*** is bigger

case and point…Hov is visibly smacking this woman, twice…and i remember when it happened, and he wasnt black balled from any award show. Celebs wild out all the time…terrence dashawn howard beat a womans ass a few years back…then he blew up…mind u his mug shot was all over the place…point is….the fans should control you career, not other pissed sputful artists…

Fans dont care about personal transgressions. We all want "molester MJ" to come out with new CDs, we all want "dog killer vick" to play i n the nfl, we all listen to "pedophile r kelly" new songs when they come out.

Thus, fans will not control the careers. And even if fans did, why does that take away jay-z's right to try to do something with greater intentions?

You know what he's gone through since that video? He's gotten married, his newphew has died, and he now hangs out with and older crowd quite often. Chris Martin's son calls him Uncle Shawn for christ sake lol.

Not to mentuion hes 40 or some shit. It's OK to accept the concept of rappers becoming older and more mature! It hasn't really happened visibly with any Super-mega-star rapper throughout the history of this genre of music, which is why it seems foreign and facade-like to most people.

*let me clarify my first sentence…when i say fans dont care and list those example, I am saying that fans don't care to the point where they will HALT an artist or entertainers career singlehandedly.

  6. J.D. Says:

thats my point….if the fans dont care…..let him live….people make mistakes….but another artist should not be the one to publicly spank u like your own daddy. I dont think Hov is setting an example…and did u hear what Hov said when he was originally asked about the brown rhianna situation….it was along the lines of……."he better watch his back, hes finished"…..thats not setting a good example, thats revenge…so what your saying is cool in theory, but i dont thats hows HOv is registering it in his brain…..hence the double smack to shortys face in the video above…

I understand that Mr. Carter is maturing and changing his views on things but his attack on Brown is not one out of trying to establish right and wrong, it is completely personal.

Because he smacked a girl in the past does not make him exempt from defending an abused woman, it would be nice if he was doing it for the right reasons though.

Fans are just that, fans. They have a loyality to the art, not the person.
